#1 - SUNSET CINEMA
There's something about watching movies in the great outdoors that's a little bit magical. On Friday the 24th of February, the Byron Bay Surf Festival will be hosting a Sunset Cinema on the Byron Bay Foreshore from 7pm-9:30pm. They'll be screening the Aussie Premiere of the film 'Given' starring Aamion Goodwin and family, 'The Way It Should Be' - a short film about the brewing process behind this year's BBSF X Stone & Wood collab featuring Dave Rastovich, plus heaps more..
Pack some friends, a picnic rug and a smorgasbord of your favourite snacks and join us tomorrow night for some sunset movie action.
#2 - SATURDAY SLIDE
This is the flagship event for the festival so if you haven't already got a ticket (it's sold out!), make sure you beg, plead and bargain as hard as you can to get one because it's going to be epic! The night will feature the incredible vocals of Paula Fuga, Bay local Bobby Alu and the hip-hopsque surf vibes of G.LOVE - fresh from the US. Between sets you can catch Jack McCoy's 25-year film anniversary, with clips from his groundbreaking surf films Bunyip Dreaming and The Green Iguana, and live music scores by Andrew Kidman, Dave Rastovich, Terepai Richmond, Tim Baker, Kyle Slabb and Fletcher Pilon.
Join us from 8pm-12:30am on Saturday the 25th of Feb at the Byron Bay Beach Hotel for some beers, some tunes and some all round great vibes.
#3 - SURF ART MARKETS
On Saturday the 25th of Feb the Byron Bay Foreshore will be awash with market stalls, tipi pop-ups, shapers, yoga, artisans, workshops, raffles, films, presentations and live music. There are an amazing array of local and international businesses getting involved in this year's surf art markets so make sure you come down between 7am-4:30pm to check it out.
One of our favourite picks is the Patagonia Yurt Program. As if the word 'Yurt' hadn't already sold you on this, the program also features amazing films and presentations from some seriously inspiring ethical businesses, not-for-profits, surfers and activists:

If you want to learn to create shibori there's also a workshop at the Yoga Yurt from 2-4pm for $40 a pop.
#4 - THE ACTIVIST'S TOOLKIT
On Saturday the 25th of Feb Patagonia is presenting a workshop and panel lead by legendary Byron Bay local Dave Rastovich. Rasta will be speaking with the most influential and experienced humanitarians and environmental activisits he has met along his 12 year conservation path, including Helen Norberg, Hugh De Kretzer (Human Rights Law Centre), Millie Telford and more. You'll walk away from this unique event with a clearer understanding of how care and compassion can be expressed both personally and politically, and how we can bolster our community and feel stronger than ever in solidarity. It's a seriously important topic and the panel welcome people of all ages, genders, religions, races and interests to get involved.

#5 - THE PARTY WAVE DASH FOR CA$H
Wategos Beach is one of our favourite places in the world, and when the whole community gets down there to catch some waves together we guarantee that you're not going to be able to wipe the smile off your face. Presented by Clif Bar, this Sunday the 26th of February will be a melting pot of people of all ages and experience levels. There'll be fun competitions (no bad vibes here) being held from 8am-4pm in the following categories:

- McTavish Trim
