LUMINOSITY
Glowing skin is always in and there is no doubt about it, luminosity is a number one priority on just about everyone’s beauty list. Frequent beach days and outdoor events can cause dryness and make the quest for summer skin endless. Most of the time we think skin care is about the face but that is just a small part. We need to be paying attention to the skin on our bodies as well. If you want to maintain glowy, touch-able skin over the warmer months follow these easy steps below.

  1. Exfoliate
Sunscreen and excess oil tend to build up so you will want to exfoliate more often over the summer months. Clarins have an arsenal of body exfoliators that are super luxurious. The ultimate glow-getter is Tonic Body Polisher. This is the spa fresh body polisher that’s packed with essential oils of rosemary, rosewood, mint, sugar and salt crystals. It leaves the skin looking radiant, toned and sleek.

  2. Stay Hydrated
Not just any lotion is fit for the summer season. You will need something that is light, easily absorbed and majorly hydrating. Clarins Moisture Rich Body Lotion is perfect for smoothing, conditioning and firming the skin without leaving it greasy. Peach Milk, Shea, Candlenut Oil and Orange Blossom visibly minimise signs of skin ageing caused by the sun and air conditioning. This miracle moisturiser smooths over rough patches and improves skin tone.

  3. Practice Safe Tanning
Sunbathing increases the risk of developing skin cancer, so is the extended exposure worth the risk? Definitely not.
Applying sunless tanning can leave you looking like you just stepped off the beach. Clarins Self Tanning Milky Lotion is the perfect way to get a beautiful natural looking tan. Its formula contains Aloe Vera gel and fig extract to soften the skin and provide 24hr hydration leaving no streaks. Perfect for both the face and body.

    4. If you prefer a more gradual tan you could try Clarins Radiance-Plus glow booster. This is an adjustable formula that you can combine with your moisturiser to create a glowing natural looking tan that builds gradually and evenly with every application. You have complete control over the end result, either a natural glow or building up to a more intense bronzed goddess glow.

"The idea for this shoot came from living by the beach and always loving the shine and reflections on rocks just after a wave has passed over them. I wanted to put Kelly in that same environment with a little of that shine herself, giving the shoot a feel like she belonged in that place. This is why we used metallic shimmery body paint with deeply pigmented colours that complimented the location." - Photographer James Mills @jamesmills
