The Slow in Canggu, Bali is a beautiful boutique hotel, an all day dining and drinks venue, an art & culture gallery and an interactive retail (whatever that means) but it should also add Bali's most Instagramable hotel to its bio because we definitely think it is. Opened by Ksubi's founders and designers, Gareth Moody and George Gorrow along with Gorrow's wife Cisco, it's smack bang in the cosmopolitan of Seminyak and crossroads from surf breaks and rice paddies. The Slow is surrounded by lush jungle and welcomes you with stunning architecture and framed views.
What we like most about it is that it claims "It’s a place to rest your bones, stir your senses, and expand your mind." What more could you want out of a holiday? A good restaurant too? The Eat and Drink menu is designed by chef Shannon Moran, go for breakfast, brunch, lunch and even dinner and don't forget to throw in a few cocktails of course!
The rooms feature native wood and floor to ceiling windows exposing void spaces and inverted gardens. Some suites have their own private plunge pool and others offer glimpses of Bali's volcanos in the distance, so either way, you can't lose. Furniture is local artisan produced mixed with bespoke designers such as Pony Rider and the walls feature a rotating art collection private to the owners. The Slow is an all-round immersive experience and features music curated by Reverberation Radio which encourages you to listen and discover new music.
